Privacy Policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
This policy explains what trenchers.si collects, why, and what you can do about it. We collect only what the games, your account and the leaderboard need. We do not sell your data and show no ads.
What we collect
- Account. If you sign in with X: your X user ID, handle, profile picture and the email address X shares. If you sign in by email: your email address. Plus the player name you choose and your time zone (it decides when your day resets).
- Game results. For each game played with an account: the date, the game, your scores, and the raw game events (key and click timings, click positions). The raw events let our server check and recompute every result.
- Technical data. Window size, how often you left the game tab during a run, and standard server logs (IP address, browser), used to keep the site working and to spot cheating.
- Guests. Without an account, results stay in your browser for the visit and are not sent to us.
- Audience measurement. Anonymous visit statistics (pages viewed, country, device type) and counts of games started and finished per game, through Vercel Web Analytics. No cookies, no scores and nothing that identifies you.
What is public
Your player name, X handle and profile picture (if you signed in with X), daily scores, best results and streak appear on the public leaderboard. Your email and raw game events are never public.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it
- Supabase stores the database and handles sign-in (servers in the European Union, Frankfurt).
- Vercel hosts the site and measures the anonymous audience.
- X handles “Continue with X”; its own privacy policy applies to that sign-in.
Legal basis and retention
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for (your account, results and leaderboard) and for our legitimate interest in keeping the leaderboard fair. We keep it while your account exists; when you delete your account, your profile and results are deleted, apart from logs kept briefly for security.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use, by writing to contact@trenchers.si. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. The site is for adults (18+) and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version.
